Employment and Enterprise Development

YRC provides support in carrying out occupational training needs assessment to identify skills and develop training programs and facilities specific to local market demands for products and services.  In collaboration and participation with community partners, YRC will develop a plan to build vocational training centers equipped with necessary tools and equipment to impart training in most needed skills to produce workforce for blue and white collar jobs or to help start small businesses and self-employment activities.  Besides imparting training, the centers will provide technical advice to those participants who are interested to start small businesses, on the knowhow on how to develop a business plan and budget and sources of available funding.  The indicative areas of training programs include:

  • Blue Collar: Lathe machine operator, auto mechanic, wood and steel workers, and electricians
  • White Collar: basic accounting, computer operator and office administration
  • Enterprise Development: tailoring, embroidery, needle/thread work, cooking, baking and food preservation.
